This new line of pens was developed by Japan-based Hong Konger CY, a known nib worker and content creator of Japanese pens and stationery.

Lamy Philippines

The German line is one of the big brands to have a solid presence in the Philippines.

 

Sey Pens

Aside from selling hard-to-fine premium Japanese pens, Sey Pens also has original creations with distinctly-Japanese finishes like tamenuri, maki-e, raden, and tsugaru-nuri.

Scopus

Coming from Jerusalem, the independent pen brand debuts at the Manila Pen Show offering handmade models with a guarantee that no two pens are exactly alike.

Stylo Art Karuizawa

This MPS returnee from Japan makes its own fountain pens featuring different finisher.

Taccia

This is the fine writing instrument brand of notebook company Nakabayashi in Japan. They offer fountain pens and inks for their first Manila Pen Show appearance.

Wancher

Another MPS newcomer from Japan, Wancher offers a lot of pen options at different forms and price points: form very small pocket pens to custom nibs and bodies with premium finishes.

Peter Bangayan / Diamine

Peter Bangayan is the reason why Philippine-exclusive Diamine inks exist, aside from bringing the brand locally. That only means one thing: there’s another exclusive color coming! Peter will be sharing a table with Gav n Sav and new local store Manila Penography.

Sailor

While Sailor is a Japan. Big 3 brand (together with Platinum and Pilot), it puts the spotlight on fountain pen inks for its Manila Pen Show appearance, with bespoke in mixing sessions selling out 15 minutes after registration started. Watch out for surprise slots, since some sessions end very fast!

Troublemaker Inks

The elusive bottles from the Cebu-based duo is back, with Manila Pen Show exclusives expected to be announced just minutes before the event starts. Just like what they did last year. So be on a lookout!

Named after the colorful sail found on boats in southern Philippines,  Vinta offers colorful ink options based on local-inspired themes.

The Singapore-based shop will be back with their handbound journals, but they have pen cases too. Aside from notebooks carrying Tomoe River Paper and other known sheets, we can also expect their originally-developed paper Musubi Rasa.

Bolo.edc

This local maker offers different everyday carry accessories such as pouches, cases, and other leather goods. They are joining the show for the first time.

Gav n Sav

For cloth-based pen wraps, Gav n Sav is worth checking out. The handmade products will be available on Peter Bangayan’s table together with Manila Penography.

Leather Library

Leather Library returns with notebooks and covers of different sizes.

Leather Luxe

The Baguio-based leather artisan is back with luxurious custom cases.

Singapore-based shop Aesthetic Bay will be back with grail-level pens! So if you convinced yourself last year to get that Nakaya or premium Japanese brand pen next time, that next time is coming in March.

EN Studio SG

This newcomer offers “bespoke paper and pen paraphernalia,” together with leather goods, Nakaya-inspired customs, and other pen prototypes.

What can we learn about?

Just like last year, there will be a series of workshops and discussion sessions where attendees can learn more about the hobby. Details on these activities, together with the schedule, will be posted here as soon as they are finalized.

Organized by Fountain Pen Network-Philippines (FPN-P), the Manila Pen Show 2024 is a 2-day gathering of enthusiasts and sellers focusing on the hobby of fine writing. This will be held at the Peninsula Manila in Makati on March 15-16 from 9:30 to 7:30pm.
